Pursuant to the Law, "On Organizational and Legal Principles of fighting Organized Crime and Corruption", Head of the Central Department on fighting Organized Crime and Corruption is appointed and dismissed by a Decree of the President of Ukraine due to the submission of a Head of the Security Service and by consent of The Verkhovna Rada Committee on fighting Organized Crime and Corruption.
According to the Committee members, by submission of an appeal of V.Nalyvaichenko, acting Head of the Security Service on appointment of T.Durdynets to the said post, relevant requirements have been violated, as the said issue failed to be arranged with the Committee.
The People´s Deputies believe that illegitimate appointment of T.Durdynets to the said post "predetermines illegitimacy of his authorities".
The Committee members deem necessary to address the President of Ukraine with an appeal to withdraw the Decree on appointment of T.Durdynets to the post of a Head of the Central Department on fighting Organized Crime and Corruption under the Security Service.
